CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to just relax and see the world. I worked the same job for about 10 years and figured a gap year before starting my new life in Seattle, Washington, USA would be fun. I see people traveling the world all the time and everyone raves about the couchsurfing community. Hoping to be host and host one day.

ABOUT ME

I am 33 years old, originally from Oakland, CA, USA and right now I am on the trip of a life time. I consider myself a extroverted introvert which means I am not super chatty initially but I get there if you keep talking to me. Fairly shy but definitely fun . I love my home, my family, and my friends but my sense of adventure periodically calls and I must answer by any means necessary. I played rugby for 10 years, did boxing for 3 years, and just took my first flamenco lesson this week! I play about 5 instruments and love listening to live music with a good cocktail. I am also a fan of nights and weekends at home hanging out with friends in a comfortable environment, I find those days result in some of the best laughter.

PHILOSOPHY

Peace, Love, and Nappiness.

I am also a believer in self care and mental health awareness. As a result, I believe you should feel what you feel when you feel it. Emotions can reveal about of yourself to yourself as well as other people. Helps to weed out those that want to stay in your life verse those that don't.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am on couchsurfing because everyone I know has made lifelong international friends as a result of participating on couchsurfing. I would love to be part of such a community. My current community is just rugby at the moment but I don't want all my associations to be sports related only. Trying to expand my horizons and learn a bit about things I don't know. Only way to do that is to meet people and have conversations.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Teach - My skills really pertain to listening and organizing. I am essentially a life coach/therapist for most of my friends so if you have anything you want to talk about or need support with...I am definitely your girl. My apologies in advance that it has to be in English. Working are learning more languages. Just added Portuguese to the list.

Learn - I would love to learn about your city! The comparisons between daily life places reminds me that though the human experience is different, there are some similarities that unite us all as people in general. Also hoping that maybe some of the things that the rest of the world does better stick with me so I can bring them back home.

Share - I would like to share some of the things like I love with you and the main thing that I love is building community. I have a great one back home and I would love to build one internationally. My dream would be to have a house big enough in the USA to one day host all the people that I have met along the way.

Honestly, not sure what I can share other than who I am as a person. I have had most of my friends all of my life and they threw me the best going away party with lots of tears and are all excited about this adventure for me, so I hope that's a glowing review on me being kind of a cool person. I generally post my trips prior to starting the next one so if you happen to see a city that I am in, are hosting me, and want me to bring you anything specific, please let me know! Always happy to bring a gift but I don't like giving people things they feel obligated to accept. Honestly is the best policy.
