ABOUT ME
I am 26.
I worked as an energy engineer, telling companies how to reduce gas and electricity usage. I just started graduate school in August, and will am studying engineering education. I am interested in how to transform the current engineering educational structure to encompass more social issues. That way, engineers will think of the life cycle of the product they create as they are creating it.
And I am usually down for a good meal.
PHILOSOPHY
Silence and relaxation brings insight of yourself and your place in the world. When you live from this place, an internal calm, life goes smoothly and all your needs get meet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I join various goups, and I delete the emails of gatherings in my area. At first I had the intention that I would go, but never did.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I stayed on 1 couch and have had coffee with two individuals. I really loved it and want to meet more.
Interests
As for activities, I like people. Usually like one-on-one time and deep conversation. I love talking about how to make this world a better place. I like deep talks, that go to the root of the issues. I am often a bit shy and keep to myself when you first meet me.
I am a mediator and a yogi, however, I am a bit bitter at some sects of spirituality at the moment. But I like listening to my inner voice
And I am usually down for a good, organic, meal.

Music, Movies, and Books
I want to see food inc pretty badly. I am in the middle of 'the spirit catches you and you fall down.' and I am going to see a female blues astist... who i forgot the name of at the moment... tonight, which i will probably enjoy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was getting my undergraduate degree, I had this epiphany that the way the system was set up was making engineers very narrow minded, and what students needed was not more technical courses, because they understood that, but more social classes.
I wrote a letter titled "the need to humanize chemical engineering students" and sent it to administrators of my department. Within 3 months they changed the graduation requirements and encompassed some of my suggestions.
I then did research with UC system center of higher education on this subject, and now am going to be studying it in graduate school
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about environmental things. Like energy efficient lighting in buildings, and can incentive programs available to people to reduce their energy consumption. I also know some about water and waste conservation.
