About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm easygoing, fun-loving, and I love finding low-trafficked areas. I'm currently a junior at North Carolina State University with a double major in Anthropology and Environmental Technology & Management. I have a passion for learning about other cultures and their lifestyles.
Likes: Cooking and eating; sticking my head out of the car window in March; skydiving; yoga; weightlifting; reading; audiobooks (Audible! With 180,000+ books etc. etc.); dancing; rum & tequila; adventure; positive energy!!
Dislikes: Touristy areas; straight vodka; paying a lot of money for food
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So far, I've couchsurfed for the several days before/after my study abroad programs. I like to allot myself extra time in a country to couchsurf so I can get to know the people from a different perspective! In a couple of years, I'll be couchsurfing independent of school, but I must wait for that time to come.
Interests
I love to learn about people, their perspective, and especially their past. Exploring the physical, emotional, and spiritual world is my passion in life.
I've studied abroad three times throughout my time in university and caught the "travel bug" the moment I left the country. Since then, I've been interested in traveling the world and learning the life, cultures, and habits of the countries I visit!
I also love to cook, and briefly attended a culinary school while I was in Italy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy many types of music. I love oldies like Franki Valli and the Four Seasons, 80's era like Abba, the Cars, the Police, Led Zeppelin and the like. Staind, Nirvana, System of a Down, Iron & Wine, Worakls, John Mellencamp, Ratatat, Gorillaz, Hans Zimmer and Johnny Cash are all examples of what I like. Good music exists in all genres, and I always love hearing new music!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once carried a gecko in my shirt pocket all the way from Italy to the United States.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positive, outward energy combined with plenty of stories and insights from cultures I've studied. I can share my knowledge of traditional southern food in the United States and my humble grasp of philosophy. I'm just as comfortable having a peaceful night and talking with friends over good food as I am at a club, bar, or party.
If you're into jam sessions or spoken word, I can vibe as well. I'm all about having a good time.
