Overview
About Me
I am a Erasmus student who was living for the summer in an apartment in Zagreb, Croatia. I am halfway through my undergraduate degree in Geography from the University of Lancaster, UK, undertaking my dissertation over the summer, returning to England in October.
I am usually a solo, spontaneous traveler and I am always surrounding myself with new faces, experiences, drinks.....I love late nights and early mornings! I have no aspiration to have a reputation as anyone's "mature and sensible friend".
I'm an "anti-planner". This doesn't mean I am too lazy to plan-this means that I actively enjoy not knowing what comes next and what chance will bring me. I'm unlikely to know what I'm doing tomorrow, and I have a deep suspicion of return-tickets.
I'm an avid environmentalist, recycler, thrift-store shopper (not for "vintage") and I WILL make sure the lights are turned off.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Faced with the terrifying prospect of living in an apartment by myself I decided it's time to fill it with new faces! I have recently discovered a love of travelling and hope to continue for many more years, whilst I am still studying and after I graduate. Hosting allows me to meet so many amazing new people and show them a little piece of the place for now I call home, and I intend to visit my guests in return when I am next on the move! It is really rewarding to be able to be of use to guests and learning how to be an impromptu tour-guide and translator! I love the spontaneity that couchsurfing provides-often if I make a request to stay (usually on the same day) I'll decide to go to that location-without planning anything ahead!
Interests
I really appreciate my own company sometimes when I can walk/cycle with a book and get happily lost. I enjoy running in sociable groups and I LOVE to make new friends in the places that I travel to. Recently I have kept diverse friend groups of different nationalities, which I love the most to learn about other people's cultures and languages. I really enjoy sports and keeping active and outdoors.
My favorite season is deep winter where I can wrap up warm and go out in the snow.
I'm usually a solo traveler or hitch-hiker, I don't usually stay in the same place too long, and I never waste time sleeping!

Music, Movies, and Books
Unfortunately, I don't make time in my life for this sort of culture. I am notoriously unfamiliar with movies, I used to read books as a child but I haven't read in quite a while.
Music-chances are I haven't heard it. I enjoy mainstream music that I come across when in bars or clubs-and am deeply appreciative of someone who will teach me about new genres-I hope someone will make me a playlist! I don't wander around with headphones on-because then nobody would approach me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've studied in three universities in two years of my undergraduate geography degree.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love environmental issues to discuss, my academic interest is the Climate Change debate. I will enforce a no-food-waste policy with people I live with, and actively encourage recycling.
I would like to learn tips about eating healthily while travelling-as I haven't expanded my diet beyond bread whenever I'm not at home!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have space to sleep up to three guests, with a fully furnished apartment. I have a supply of maps and a kitchen, and I am flexible and trusting that you can let yourself come and go into the flat during your stay, or show you around if you'd like to have fun and get lost with me.
