About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world, deepen my spirituality, and connect with others in order to make myself a more powerful leader ready to create meaningful change upon my return.

ABOUT ME

I am deeply motivated to address the paradox of rampant waste and consumption in a
world of poverty and inequality. In college, I founded and directed programs that collected
leftover food and unwanted items to redistribute to communities in need. I received
international recognition in 2006 when she was honored as one of 20 exceptional young social
entrepreneurs. Following 3 years at Ashoka’s Changemakers, I remain committed to social
justice and sustainability. I am a believer, relationship-builder, and a connector.

I'm excited to begin exploring some new places with my wonderful boyfriend of 3 years, Mark.

PHILOSOPHY

Sometimes I'm a hedonist - sometimes I'm a workaholic - I love being productive but i know how to get funky, let loose and have fun - It's hard to get me down - I feel so blessed with the family, things, education and life I've been blessed with - I love life and I have so much love to give - I'm excited to continue following my bliss to see where life leads me. I believe that there must be change in this world and I'm working hard for social justice, environmental sustainability and spiritual fulfillment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I participate as a couch-surfer because I haven't settled down long enough anywhere in the past couple years to open up my home to others. I believe fully in the Couch surfing ideal of both surfing and offering and thus when I have the opportunity I will gladly offer my home up to others. I see it as an incredible way to meet new people, learn new things and expand the global family.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed all over the world and all over the US. My boyfriend and I are modern day nomads. Almost every weekend a new couch or new floor welcomes us for a stay. Its not necessarily about the most comfortable bed but about the opportunity to spend time with some incredible people.

I've couch-surfed in India, Thailand, Nepal, Philippines, Kenya, Italy, England and more!

Interests

I love live music, I love to dance and I love to meet new people and make new friends. I love basketball, soccer, frisbee, sailboats, cooking, art, photography.
