About Me

About to become an engineer. But, I love life. So I travel. Life's been a constant upgrade for me (from a small Indian village where I grew up). Always looking forward to meeting new people. Understanding why people do what they do and learning their way of living amazes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am about to start my journey to explore the world. And, I have realized that what makes this journey more beautiful and meaningful is the kind of people I get to meet and interact with. Hopefully, I will get to meet interesting people here while Couchsurfing.

I will be in Hong Kong from 6th to 12th September, 2018 for a 2 day Asia Investment & Banking conference. I am looking for opportunities to make my trip more memorable and affordable at the same time.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:
My taste in music is a bit acquired. God has introduced me to some good people with good music and good vibes. Pink Floyd - Division Bell and Daft Punk - Random Access Memories are my all time favorites. I like psytrance, ambient trance, post-rock or rock music (from the 60s and 70s) and occasionally hip-hop. Carbon-based lifeforms, Polo and Pan, Coldplay, Cigarettes After Sex, Eddie Vedder, Radiohead and it just goes on and on.

MOVIES:
Its been a privilege to grow up alongside the harry potter series. Just to name a very few here from a never-ending list - Pursuit of Happiness, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Into the Wild, 7 years in Tibet, Pulp Fiction, Dead Poet's Society, Lord of the Rings and the 'Before ...' series.

BOOKS:
One of the biggest regret: I couldn't develop a habit of reading books. Among the very few books that I have read are The Last Lecture, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Thinking Fast & Slow and The Lost Symbol.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An impulsive and unplanned road trip to Spiti Valley in The Himalayas where in I traveled solo for 7 days in one of the worlds most treacherous terrain on a very tight budget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my experiences in India and introduce you a bit to the Indian culture. We can have an elaborate discussion about people's eating habits, work style, religion, clothing and what not.

I can teach you English, Hindi and a little bit of German (A1 level). I am always up for learning new languages. You can teach me some basics of your native language.

I am an amateur at cooking. But, I am very enthusiastic about learning new recipes. Maybe, we can collaborate and come up with something interesting or weird. You can definitely count on me for some help in the kitchen though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Right now, its just the stories I bring with me along with a lot of curiosity and willingness to learn.
