Overview
About Me
I am the space where all sorts of eclectic interests arise! I was born in Habana, Cuba and migrated to Chile and then to the US. I have called Miami my home since I was 11 years old and live in South Florida with my husband and two dogs. I love music, dancing and cooking; mostly I love traveling and discovering new cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am currently on a world tour alongside my husband. As of March 2018 we have been on the road for 12 months and lived/visited 16 countries and 24 cities.
I am on Couchsurfing to meet new friends as I travel, to discover new hobbies and when needed to crash on someone's couch. Given the amount of traveling I have done, I know how lonely it can get and how hard it is to make friends sometimes, so I am also here to offer my friendship to those who would like it and to share my knowledge on the cities I have lived to those who need it.
Interests
I am an avid salsa dancer and an eclectic hobbyist. Not big on outdoors sports but I'll try everything once. Enjoy learning about different cultures, religions, and history and so naturally I love museums, arts and crafts although I am not very crafty myself. Reading and music are my main pathways into discovery.

Music, Movies, and Books
West of January by Dave Duncan and Madame Curie by Eve Curie are my favorite books. I have read many others, mainly novels and classics and currently I am catching up on the brief histories of the countries I visit.
Salsa Dura is my favorite music to dance to and Alexander Abreu's lyrics the absolute best in current Cuban singers. I love R&B, Soul, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Indie Rock, Bachata; really I listen to mostly everything that moves me. Heavy rock and House being the exception. :) Sorry Not Sorry!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Created Happy Elders, a project that for 3 years brought young adults to perform and entertain elderly residents living alone in a state-operated facility in Miami (assisted living facility or ALF). We raised over $10,000 during that time to provide all sorts of resources and entertainment during the year and hosted holiday parties during the month of December to give all residents (143 people) holiday gifts and other donations to the facility.
The most amazing thing I've done was to bring together people from all my communities to give their time freely for these isolated, often neglected seniors who in consequence felt loved, cared for, and alive.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook and to eat so I can share both, my food and places around town to eat well. I can teach you salsa basics and you will definitively have plenty of opportunities to go dancing or listening to live music with me. I'll share all the happening spots and best places to take classes.
I am also a graduate of the Landmark Curriculum for Living, had the extraordinary blessing of attending the Journey of Profound Healing with Sai Maa, and have been at the Papal Audience and listened to Pope Francis and received his blessing. I have grown and received guidance from other different methodologies and personal and professional development practices, disciplines and seminars. Grabbing from all what works for me and my life and leaving what doesn't. If you ever wish to chat about any disciplines I am always and ever available to share and to discover.
What I Can Share with Hosts
All of the above! I'll cook for you and teach you to dance. :)
