Born in Coimbatore, brought up at Kochi and ancestrally Konkan. Engineer by profession but always a student at heart. I love the outdoors. Some say I'm a bit introverted, but I just tend to observe more before acting ;) I live with my wife who is a medical practitioner and is tinier but sweeter than me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is my way of experiencing the whole world by not just traveling to the different parts of the world in search of experiencing a new culture, but by interacting with beautiful souls from different parts of the world already on their journey exploring new cultures. My wife also enjoys the spirit of couchsurfing and is equally, if not more, excited as me.

Interests

Anything outdoors and I'm game- be it exploring places or trying out a new sport. Freediving, swimming, and sailing are my latest hobbies. I would love to explore hike and fly someday. I love trail running, trekking, and mountain biking!

Indoors, I like tinkering with stuff to make the world (starting with the place I'm at) a better place :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music only occasionally and when I do, I just mostly listen to what's trending. Have not been able to finish the books that I start. Movies weren't my thing until MCU came along, and I became an MCU fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Looking back, not one, but many.
The latest is an impromptu sailing expedition on a 52-year-old custom-built 10m sailing vessel, S V Strider, with a Dutch captain, who also is my freediving coach, from Vizhinjam to Tuticorin. The journey of around 200km took us around 52 hours to sail. After the sailing was a first-degree sunburn and a long series of bureaucratic nightmares, but more on that for when we meet ;)
