About Me

ABOUT ME

I am super crazy busy in medical school.

Before that, I was teaching immigrant teenagers in an urban California high school. And before that, I was a grad school student and worked in lots of non-profits.

When I am not teaching or becoming a doctor, I travel. Kinda a lot. I am very low-maintenance (instant noodles and sleeping in moving vehicles sounds just fine) and aspire to be good company!

PHILOSOPHY

I have to be constantly stimulated, so traveling fits the bill well. But don't worry, I can entertain myself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hopefully, by crashing at your place! And hanging out if you have the time. Thanks ;) Once we get settled somewhere bigger than a room, we'll be hosting, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Homecooked meals, warm showers, and insight into Namibian culture... just some of the great perks of CouchSurfing in Africa... Hope to have many more wonderful new encounters!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a reader. I like fantasy and historical fiction a la Tale of Two Cities or Game of Thrones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Monkeys assaulted me and took my yogurt. For real.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a smattering of different languages, and would love to pick up a bit of yours. (If you are really a dork, I could expound upon the complexities of Quechua compared to Latin or the lack of plurals - as we know them - in Thai.)
But mostly I'd like to learn whatever you want to share.

My newest language is Vietnamese. Very useful for patients in California hospitals where I work.

Countries I’ve Visited

Angola, Austria, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Malawi, Mexico, Montenegro, Namibia, Peru, Qatar, South Africa, Swaziland, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Viet Nam, Zambia, Zimbabwe
