About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Grow outward, upward.

ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous and happily nerdy software engineer with a lot of curiosity about the world and other people. I seek small ordinary adventures -- going to a new place, trying a new food, sitting in someone's living room with drinks and talking.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in "following the crumbs." Doing things one step at a time, figuring out what comes next based on your feelings and knowledge in that moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have enjoyed traveling and Couchsurfing. Couchsurfing is the best way I know to meet new friends and see a new place from an inside on-the-ground perspective -- which is my favorite way to get to know a new place, not by visiting tourist sites.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I Couchsurfed in Chile with 2 friends, and I loved it! In the places I stayed, I created and tried the Brazilian national cocktail (delicious), listened to a sitar played live and tested it out myself (amazing instrument), and watched the Godfather for the first time (nothing like a movie projector in a living room).

Interests

What to do with this life. Politics. Social change. Comics and cartooning. Books. Thoughtful conversations.
