About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To encounter as much of life's experiences as are within my means and facilitate the same for others, to meet likeminded and enchanting people
ABOUT ME
I am a potter and work mainly in porcelain. I love meeting new rather odd individuals. I have a sarcastic and often morbid sense of humor but am very optimistic and giving.
I crave adventure and look for creative ways to find it. My main need in life is to find myself surrounded with the ancient, whether it be civilization or geology etc.
Five years ago, I sold most of my stuff and drove west across the top of the US, and find myself now on the west coast. I suppose I'm looking for a niche but more importantly to get to know myself and gain spiritual experience. For know, I have settled in Oakland until I feel compelled to move along but I've managed to find a wonderful community here and will be hard pressed to leave it.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a firm believer that everyone, not just people with money should be able to see the world and find their own place in it. I live in order to challenge social norms and ultimately find my own success, my own happiness whatever it may be. I strive to achieve the ethereal. I could just as easily stay in a hotel but I'd much rather get to meet someone where they are and vice versa. Kindness and active participation in life are akin to rebellion at this point.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a couple of times and also couchsurfed my way across the US.
In general, I'd love to meet people that are scouring the world for perspective.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted several couchsurfers and I feel like we've all learned so much from one another. Now I've stayed with a number of people as well. In what often can feel like an impersonal and unfriendly world, it's nice to find such an astounding number of open and good natured people on couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a couple months driving across the country by myself staying with wonderful people from this site. It was easily the most definitive experience of my life and changed everything!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've spent a lot of time thinking about how to lead my life and I've come to the conclusion that I want to conceal nothing and regret nothing. I believe in being very open and I'm not afraid to share with anyone. I strongly encourage nonconformity.

A box of wine, a decent meal and a conversation about anything that none of us will forget.
