Hey, my name is Filip (though I prefer simply "Phil"). I'm a guy who loves travelling, learning about basically anything, improving myself, meeting cool people, and having an awesome time.

I work as a Concept Designer, but I also love drawing, sketching, photo editing, writing, and animation. I've always had unorthodox ideas and loved to explore "impossible" options, so I've traveled alone, lived abroad, and collaborated with people around the world.

After hearing many good things about this site, Couchsurfing seemed like the next logical choice. :)

I mainly listen to hip-hop, but I enjoy almost every form of music, ranging from Mozart to Katy Perry.

When it comes to movies, I love intelligent ones that make you question things, like Fight Club or Ex Maxchina. I'm also a sucker for time-travel/paradox movies, Tarantino and Guy Ritchie films, as well as great comedies with dirty humor (Superbad, 21/22 Jump Street, South Park, Rick and Morty). Oh, and I'm a HUGE fan of Batman.

Lately, I've mostly been reading non-fiction books on various topics, like psychology textbooks or The 48 Laws of Power, though I always enjoy a good fictional story, be it Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, James Bond or Stephen King.

Why stop at one? Here are a few:

- Traveled alone to London (first time on a plane) and partied with the Queen's Guard soldiers at a night club.

- Started a self-improvement website TheMindOfSteel.com and have since been helping people build a stronger mindset, change perception and behavior.

- Visited for the first time and moved to New York City with no job, no connections, no accommodation, and almost no money. Few months later I've had friends, best friends, lived all around the city, took road trips, and built a life for myself. It sucked going back home after that.
