About Me

I grew up in Florida and love to travel everywhere and anywhere. Love a good adventure and meeting interesting people with good stories. I'm a massage therapist by trade, and I feel blessed to be able to do the work I love. I recently began studying herbology, and I'm always interested in learning new aspects of healthful living-massage, yoga, homeopathy. I also love spending quality time with friends, partying and catching new music. I believe that the person I've become is a culmination of the people I've known and experiences I've had.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd rather stay at a private residence and meet locals, and perhaps make new friends than pay for an overpriced, overrated hotel.

Interests

My hobbies include biking, kayaking, hiking, snowboarding, crafting, reading, writing, cooking, herbology and dancing. In my opinion music is the universal language, and I make it a point to catch as much live music as possible- of all genres.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is so difficult to quantify...I can appreciate all kinds of music but I suppose i'm regularly drawn to rock and roll, folk, jam, blues and punk rock. However, I appreciate everything from classical music to death metal.
I'm a sucker for films...anything from a cerebral foreign film to a cheesy romantic comedy.
I don't read as much as I'd like but some of my favorites have been: "The Alchemist," "The Little Prince," "Man, Medium Rare." I am currently reading "Orange is the New Black."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After I graduated from massage school in Florida, I traveled to Thailand where I studied Thai Massage for a month. Once I was certified, I spent two weeks traveling both to the north region as well as the islands. It was an unforgettable, life-affirming experience.
