Hello, my name is Giovanni and I'm a typical Southern Italy guy!
My heart is split between Calabria, the beautiful region where I was born and raised, and Rome, the eternal city, where I lived for 5 years while attending university.

Meanwhile my heart still lies in those places, my body and mind are in Miami, where I'm getting a PhD in physisc at UM (and enjoying the warm weather).

Unfortunately, I can't have guests here, but I can host you in Rome or Calabria.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To switch from the cold and silent hotel rooms, that tell nothing about the place you are in (with a comfortable bed though) to houses of local people where I can meet new ones and turn a travel into a great experience (sleeping on the couch though).

Interests

I really like to do a lot of things. Above all sports, music and cooking.

I play tennis and soccer (I'm from Italy, the homeland of Calcio!) and I wouldn't mind joining your games.

Then I like playing guitar (but nothing too serious) and, very important thing, I can and I like to cook in every occasion. Yes, Italian food is my speciality, put me to the test.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made wine with my cousin in a lost village in Calabria.

I made a short movie with friends and participated to a festival for pros (of course we didn't win).
