ABOUT ME

I am a warm and friendly person and have always believed that meeting new people, travelling and enlarging one's friends circle with intermixing of cultures is beyond the scope of National Boundaries.

Although I basically hail from the beautiful costal, temple city of Chennai, India, I am spending my summer in Houston, interning as a Research Assistant at Rice University.

I am a very humorous person and see the funny and merry perpective of life. Making new friends and maintaing a sound relationship with them have been my greatest strengths since childhood. I hope to keep people around me happy and smiling!! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Impressed by the concept of CS, this is my first try at it. It seems amazing seeing how something so simple yet remarkable ropes in different people, ideas and cultures across the world! :)

Interests

I love to meet new people. Learn their cultures and understand the essence of making new friends throughout my journey.

Since I come from a family of musicians, I have always had a flair for listening to new and different types of music. :)

Photography interests me although I am a novice at it. :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I feel music is in everyone's blood and it is only self realization that brings the flair for it to surface as one's interest. I enjoy every kind of music. Being Beethoven, Yanni, Indian Classical or Psychedelic Music. Be it Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree or Zakir Hussain, music of any form can make my day!!

I read a lot of books. They are my new found love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Donated blood to a stranger during an unfortunate road-side accident. It was amazing to see that my little contribution saved a person's life.

I know to ice-skate and play the ping-pong (Table-tennis) do an advanced proficiency.

Was lucky to witness the last 4 Solar eclipses consecutively in India and the Arab World :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learnt to play the Indian Classical Musical instrument Table for a couple of years. I can teach and still continue to learn every bit of new music and musical instruments.
