About Me
*** UNFORTUNATELY AT THE MOMENT I'M NOT ABLE FOR HOSTING ***
(but I will be back as soon as possible, mmmwwwaaahhhahaha).
Behind a compound name that always gives me problems abroad it's me, a simple man, like Lynyrd Skynyrd sang once. I'm a Spanish guy, always willing to share a coffee, beer or wine, with friends and others who wants to share good moments. I'm extremely calm; laidback but responsible, relax but active, shy but friendly. I'm surfing in the balance :)
I love writing, but I'm afraid I don't like much to write "about me" texts, so I'll let the rest of texts to describe me in a better way.
Nowadays, I’m back to my hometown for several months, till next city to be my place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since the first time I heard about this, I felt interested in couchsurfing but I never did the first step before. Some recent changes in my life made me move back to my hometown, where I have much place to host travellers, but it’s at least half an hour to main cities; I’m planing moving to Seville in some months anyway.
Interests
I consider myself a traveler, and I love sharing moments and experiences with other travelers. My favorite kind of trips are road-trips, without booking any night at any hostel or hotel, so we are free from being tied to any schedule. Some years ago, I decided to move to Scotland to live there (I love that country), where I bought my motorbike in order to do this kind of trips, changing the car for the bike. I did some of then (awesome), the biggest and most interesting a trip Firenze-Oslo-Seville :)
Other interest I have, although I left a bit at a side in the last years, is kayaking. I loved going in a kayak, either just myself with my thoughts, either with some friends, across the Guadalquivir, any calm river or wild water, and even the sea. I'm looking for coming back to it, now that I’m around here.
I also love History, but my memory is not good enough to hold so many anecdotes, histories, heroes, villains, that our history holds. This feeds my passion for traveling as well.
Now I have some spare time, I'm feeding my passion for writing. I'm working in a book that pretend to be something between my memories, notes about my trips and some drops of philosophy that filled the gaps. Strange product could result from that, but lets see how words are growing up from the pen.

Music, Movies, and Books
About music, I like too many genres, but I could highlight old rock, jazz, classic and Spanish cantautores, with Serrat and Sabina as the top in my music taste list. I consider Queen as the seed in my music education.
I love good movies, that's why nowadays I'm paying more attention to oldies and classics, as well as Oriental films or, what I consider is making up the quality in the seventh art, some series. My favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption, and in my top ten could be: Pulp Fiction, Gladiator, The Sting, Blade Runner, The Kingdom of Heaven (director's cut, with long distance from the cinema's version), Trainspotting... among others.
It's hard to name just one book, but I like a lot books of adventures and history, so I can say (just for mention something here) the books of Capitán Alatriste, by Arturo Pérez Reverte. Nowadays I stop reading novels and I'm reading essays (for example, this days I'm reading a book by Jung).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left behind my family, friends, career and job, packaged my stuff, put on the saddlebags and went in my bike to Italy where my girlfriend was living, even without knowing the language. Full of good and not-so-good things inside my luggage, I still consider it one of my biggest adventures in my life.
After living in Firenze, I went back home, doing a 50-days trip across Europe, alone with my motorbike. It was simply awesome!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach and learn, everything in both ways. We are all teachers and students.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer a lot of anecdotes, friendly chat and good laughs. I’m always willing to hang out as well as enjoy some calm inside, even I can cook a couple of typical-Spanish dishes.
