I'm a 24 year old about to embark on my first real trip alone - to Europe. I've grown up in cloistered surroundings in a well-off South Indian family and am finally acting on my lifelong desire to travel. I'm generally introverted and quiet - but people who know me find me interesting to talk to. Absolutely love reading, and i do try my hand occasionally at writing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently a student, I want to experience each city as the natives see it. I have had a rather one dimensional exposure to people thus far. I am looking to break that. I love learning about other cultures and histories, wiki-shagging was a favorite pastime during my one year of employment. I believe I can best experience a city by interacting with someone who actually lives there and not by merely clicking selfies with famous buildings.

Music: Primarily listen to Indian Film music, will be glad to introduce you to the works of A R Rahman, that genius from Madras.
Books: This can go on forever, but currently, I'm on a Terry Pratchett spree. Have read Archer, Agatha Christie, Asimov, Salman Rushdie, Arundati Roy, Wodehouse (big time fan)... an eclectic taste
