I am an Indian from Chennai, Tamil Nadu., living in Indianapolis, doing my Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Purdue University.
The Eagles went 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device', and I understand it now more than ever. I used to be a huge brand-freak and an Apple fanatic, back in my country.
When I came to USA, alone and away from all comfort a home provides, it gradually dawned on me that I will only be taking experiences with me when I die, leaving all the electronic gadgets and branded wardrobe back. I decided that there is only certain amount of money you need to live happily. I feel that people often mistake luxury for need.
I want to travel around India and paint the beauty that I observe!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I went to the United States in the fall of 2015, and have been to 15 states in 2 months. One day, my American friend asked me if Delhi is a state in India. Shamefully, I couldn't answer him. That is when I realized how little I know about the country I have lived for 2 decades. I've seen more states in the US than in India. I want to explore every nook and corner my country first. I want to couchsurf so that I can get to meet many different people and experience the vast array of cultures my country has!

兴趣

I love art, to draw and paint. I love animated series that were aired when I was a little kid in the '90s. Drawing is one of my biggest hobbies. Now, hopefully traveling is another.

I'd love to teach art and instigate a passion for art in small children. Teaching children and knowing that they learned something that they will remember their whole life because of you, is the greatest way of obtaining self-accomplishment, in my opinion.
I'd love to learn, almost anything!
