About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To teach and live abroad, become fluent in another language, and to continue traveling and hosting as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
I'm just like any other traveler - anxious to meet and share new experiences with people of all cultures. The types of knowledge one gains through travel are incredibly special. Understanding the process of discovery is better when felt, not said. Share your cherished experiences by living and projecting acquired positive energies onto others.
In July of '07 I went on my first backpacking trip (around western Europe) and I cannot begin to emphasize how truly amazing it was. I then lived in Florence, Italy for a year, and words could not describe. I live for my next unexpected excursion!
There is so much to learn and know in life.. but can we ever really see/ do it all?
I frequently find myself gazing at the sky and clouds. They change so much from place to place, it fascinates me.
PHILOSOPHY
Have agency in life and let others add to your own personal philosophies.
"Salt water can fix all problems; sweat, tears, and the sea." -Anonymous
"You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward." -Rockyyyy
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting, tour guiding, CSing, sharing conversations
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
By now I've used CS many times since I joined in 2006, as well as hosted a few people here and there, and I have to say it's been nothing short of amazing. But it all got started when I couch surfed for the first time in Switzerland through the CS project unexpectedly, and it transformed my perceptions of the world, humanity, and traveling (cliché I know, but it's true!) It was an unforgettable experience that will resonate with me for years to come. I would like (when possible) to provide a place for travelers to stay, and experiences that hopefully compare to those in which I have been fortunate enough to come across.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Almost died a few times driving around Sicily. Tasted deer for the first time at a restaurant in Paris. Bonded with an amazing Italian family in the Northern region of Italy called "Piemonte" in a language other than English. Helped try and cook Castagne (chestnuts) in a giant, iron skillet in small town in Italy at Christmas time, and failed. Met and shared awesome conversations and experiences with people who don't speak English through knowing and learning other languages. Living in another country for a full year. Traveling at any opportunity. Hosting couch surfers! Visited 16 states (7.11%) Create your own visited map of The World or Like this? try: Mapped Web
