Hi! You can call me Mags. I've grown up in many different places, but always have come back to Miami. I am not central, I live in the rural part of Miami (Redland). I am involved in the local farm scene and I'm the director of a nonprofit. I also work a few jobs regarding public relations. I have three older brothers, I get grumpy in the cold, and I eat a lot of fruit.

I'm reading Brief Interviews with Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace right now. I have Paris Spleen by Baudelaire nearly memorized. I read a lot about educational reform and pyschology. I read a lot of Thich Nhat Hanh in general. I really like Jeffrey Eugenides as well. I also like a few graphic novels, and have met Craig Thompson.
I'm into 70s rock and new age, some indie stuff, alternative stuff, punk, shoegaze, 80s/90s indie British stuff, other stuff. I'll listen to anything by David Byrne and whomever he collaborates with.
I've seen and like too many movies to name. Paul Thomas Anderson is a favorite director, as is Wes Anderson. I enjoy Jodorowsky's funky films, too.
I also really like it when people move in sync!

I'm very proud of my first solo trip to Vienna! And mini backpacking through Italy in winter. AND opening up a pay-it-forward kitchen benefiting the underprivileged in Miami.
