About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be simple, free, and be of service to those who do not have such privileges.

ABOUT ME

I'm a mid-40sprofessional, with my head in the air and my feet on the ground. I'm a dreamer and usually accomplish many of those dreams! I'm a southern girl by birth with a latin american spirit who loves to dance, thanks to the Dominican people who showed me that dance is a way of life! Love the outdoors, being healthy, eating vegetarian, and music and adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted some wonderful guests both in my home in Managua and in Miami. I have stayed with some generous hosts throughout Latin America and one in the US, most of whom I maintain friendships currently.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is one of those things that bolsters my hope in humanity amidst a fear-driven society. Inspirational and so much fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working on a true cooperative organic coffee and macadamia farm in Guatemala and witnessing the life-changing transition of a community from poor peasant farmers to farm owners, administrators, and innovators.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Spanish and English fluently so could teach either of these as well as experiences regarding international public health work, tropical diseases, and answer many first aid/nursing type questions.
