Resumen
Sobre mí
Hi, I've done some interesting things in life, including:
working in a circus,
photographing a nuclear power plant,
travelling throughout various countries (mostly in East Asia),
learning to surf in Taiwan
and teaching English in South Korea.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
Engaging with people in a local community is often more fufilling than just hanging out with other travelers at a hostel (although that can be nice, too).
When traveling, it's difficult to keep money from affecting your experience of a place. It shapes where you stay, who you meet, what you eat, and how people treat you.
Sites like Couchsurfing, Workaway, WOOF, HelpX help to get people out the door, regardless of how much money they have. Travelling is fun and genuinely rewarding, but it often has a barrier to entry. Anything that encourages and organizes more goodwill towards our fellow humans. Money shouldn't always define our interactions.
