About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and explore this beautiful planet!

ABOUT ME

CouchSurfing has changed my life! I've been so blessed to have such amazing experiences all over this planet with such inspiring people I have met through CS. I absolutely love all the different cultures the people of this world possess; I love traveling, exploring, and learning as much as I can. Broadening my perspective is something I am constantly striving to do. I love meeting new people and making new connections and relationships; CS has opened up so many new doors for me throughout my time surfing--big shout-out to all of those dear individuals who have contributed to my experience. LOVE YOU ALL!

PHILOSOPHY

Love. Empathy. Community. Never stop learning, there's always room for growth. And laugh, a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-I'm into underground hip hop and lots of 90's stuff.
Books-I mainly read non-fiction. Malcom X is by far one of the most inspiring pieces of literature I've ever read. Of the fiction selection I've gotten into, I really enjoyed The Kite Runner & A Thousand Splendid Suns. Ooh and A Million Little Pieces, although that can sort of fall under non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Awestruck moments don't jump out at me right away. Every day holds something new and exciting for me. Some of the more exhilarating experiences in my life include hiking up Mount Sinai, backpacking through Yosemite and falling in love.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an Educator. I teach high school English and Debate in Oakland, California and coordinate a Muslim youth program in the Bay Area. My whole life revolves around teaching, learning, sharing and growing. We all hold mad potential. Let's build. One Love.
