Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC 🎶
It depends on the mood or the surroundings. But my music range is pretty wide, from classical, through good old rock, jazz, blues, indie, soul, funk, disco, house, and of course tango. I'm also DJ-ing at tango events so I can certainly say that music takes quite important part of my life.
MOVIES 🎬
Usually into good thrillers, biography, drama or historical movies, not a fan of horror and SF movies though.
Some of my faves are: La grande belleza, The Pianist, Amélie, The Favourite, Scent of a woman, Shutter Island, All the President's men, Cold War, The dreamers, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And everything from Almodóvar, Kieślowski, Sorrentino and Wong Kar-Wai. 💖
BOOKS 📚
I enjoy reading very much, basically always carrying some book in my bag to read. A favourite, hmm, must be bosnian writer Semezdin Mehmedinovic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Picture this: sleeping amidst the vibrant rhythms of Brazil's Amazon forest, where the symphony of nature serenades you to sleep. It was a mesmerizing experience that immersed me in the heart of one of the world's most captivating landscapes. Who needs four walls when you have the world's largest rainforest as your bedroom? 😉🍀
Also, Erasmus in Madrid ❤ It definitely shaped me and influenced the way I see the world and how I like to travel, explore new places and meet people along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're keen on picking up some Croatian phrases, I've got you covered! And yes, the cheeky jokes are definitely on the syllabus.
If you want to know something about tango dance and culture, I would be very happy to share with you whatever I've learned so far.
As a self-proclaimed foodie and avid home cook, I'm always whipping up treats for friends (because, let's be real, I can't eat all those cakes alone! 😉)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with you some good chocolate or cheese, a glass of wine or gin tonic and positive energy. I can cook, give tips on how to visit Croatia (special tips for food spots! ;)) and I can host you back in Zagreb (if I'm not traveling somewhere around the world at the moment). And what else? Maybe a long-term friendship, you never know. 😊
