Overview
About Me
Howdy! My name is Michał (me-how) and I am a currently living abroad in Hyderabad, India conducting research related to household nutrition and traditional food preservation.
I was living/working in Uganda within coffee exportation, community development and 543 other things (no but seriously). I call home Washington, D.C. despite being born in Poland, raised in Chicago, and having completed my education in New York (Culinary Institute of America & Cornell University).
It's too long to go into the experiences I've had, the things I know how to do and yadda yadda yadda. Ask anything you would like. I’m always an open book. I can tell some really good jokes, but many of them are really bad.
See you (all) soon!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I admit, I’m not a perfect communicator on here and I️ apologize for not responding to your message right away or at all unless you’re consistent with tracking me down.
I am a fellow traveler and will be doing so over to my favorite places. I also enjoy hosting folks when I can and cooking a meal, sharing a good story and attempting to keep my crazy dog Parker from jumping all over you.
Send me a message and let's begin chatting!
Interests
My interests are simple. I’m guided by great food, delicious wine and memorable experiences with people who I’ve met, who I’ve known and those in life I’m destined to meet.
Music, Movies, and Books
This is a loaded question. I am a lover of all things except for baby corn, islamophobia, banana smoothies, and white savior complexes. All else, I’m game within reason to explore.
My iTunes library would make you blush. Movies I am open to all. With books I have many to share if you have a Kindle. Be happy to share 10000+ books that I have :-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I've done has been to sky dive, twice. Looking forward to becoming an certified skydiver.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've acquired MANY random pieces of knowledge (mostly useful, few pointless), skills and trades throughout the years. Ask away!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Spare bedroom. Shared bathroom. Clean sheets. Towel. Meals if you're in need while in transit. Let me know ahead of time, and I'm sure we will have a great time.
