I'm from Poland, I moved to Croatia 4 years ago and now I'm planning to move abroad again – probably to Switzerland. I am a phd researcher (on Balkan Conflict in the 90s in German Literatur) and translator (German/English-Polish). I'm vegan, I have a dog, I'm openminded and easy going in every day life, I like listening to other peoples' stories and experiences but I don't avoid talking about myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in other people's life philosophy and the way of living&thinking. Sharing the privacy of one's home is a huge thing so I respect the house rules and giving my best while staying at someone's place.

I was hosted several times during my trips in Europe and I've also been hosting couchsurfers in my place in Warsaw. I participate also in CS meetings, sometimes go out with other couchsurfers.

Interests

I spend a lot of time in the nature – long walks and hiking are my drug. When traveling I always have a book or kindle, a notebook and pen with me. I write poetry and travel report. I love sleeping in the tent, hiking in wild areas.

I read mostly German language literature and philosophers, non-fiction writing and other, e.g. Houellebecq, Handke, Stasiuk, Kafka, Szulc, Bernhard, Mann, Gstrein, Kim...
Movies: rather dramas/documentaries, independent cinema, horrors are my guilty pleasure. Twin Peaks!
Music: indie/rock/metal, lately also rap, electronic music, classical music..but no pop music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rescuing small puppies just after their mother died, taking care of them 2 months long and rescuing my dog who stayed with me till now.

Going on my first solo trip to Albania.
