i live in Oakland because i like it better than San Francisco. you can stay here if you want to visit San Francisco, but it makes more sense to find a host in San Francisco. it costs around $6 round trip to go from Oakland to San Francisco. it takes at least 30 minutes to get to the Ferry Building from my home and maybe 90 minutes to get to Golden Gate Park

if you're gonna write me a CouchRequest, please read the "My Home" section first! i get 1-3 requests a day, so i've got some requests of my own B-)

FYI i feel safe walking through the neighborhood late at night, but some people are afraid so consider staying in a safer neighborhood.
