Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
Current mission is to see as much of this amazing world as I can, to learn all that I can, to help those I meet, to be a better person than I was yesterday, to never lose hope.
ABOUT ME
Passionately reasonable, whimsically serious, stark raving sane.
PHILOSOPHY
"The only dream worth having is to dream that you will live while you are alive, and die only when you are dead. To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget."
-Arundhati Roy
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am always at home in the kitchen, and I love to feed people. I love to learn new recipes and techniques, discover new ingredients, and I love the perfect silence of a roomful of friends who cannot bear to interrupt their eating with speech.
I'm also a healer and body worker, and travel with a small kitbag, and I'm always happy to take care of the people around me in whatever way makes sense.
Beyond that, I've done quite a variety of odd jobs over the years, so I'm generally handy in several ways.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed on couches in Budapest in 2012, and southern china in 2007. Neither was through this site, though. Friends of friends. Couchsurfed a lot in the US with friends, mostly around the California Bay Area.
Intereses
I read, climb, explore, ride my bike, build things, cook things and feed people, heal the sick and injured, tell dumb jokes and get lost. I like sci-fi and graphic novels, video games and Kung fu movies. I enjoy good whiskey and good coffee and good conversation, usually until way too late at night.

Algo increíble que he hecho
Spent 3 days hiking through Tiger Leaping Gorge in south-western China, watching the mist rise off the side of the mountain like breath condensing in a fog, like the mountain was breathing so slowly you could barely perceive it.
Spent 2 months in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, building the infrastructure for a temporary city of 70,000 people that exists for one week out of the year, then tearing it all down again.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
This is a fantastic idea. I suppose the things that I would be best suited to teach are in the realm of either traditional Chinese medicine, or bodywork / nutrition / herbalism in general, and cooking skills.
As to what I want to learn? I don't even know where to start just yet. Ummm, everything?
