CURRENT MISSION

I'm currently counting days until the start of my second cycling solo trip through Europe, this time through the Balkans. The general plan is eastern Croatia, Serbia, northern Rumania, Kosovo, and if the time allows, going back to Croatia via Albania and Montenegro. 20 days on the bike ahead - and I can barely wait! Would be great to meet up for a beer or two along the way, and now and then I won't say no to a bed and a shower either ^^

ABOUT ME

I'm a Croatian who spent 10 years of her life in Munich, Germany, then ran away in December 2014 and spent the next 15 months traveling, out of which 6 months helping refugees on the Balkan route. A couple of months in Zagreb, and I am ready to get onto my bike and continue my journey. The current base, after many, many years, is again in Zagreb.

PHILOSOPHY

Every problem in this world can be pedaled away, as long as you cycle long enough.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm quite new here, so this one is work in progress - but I'll progress in working on it as soon as I'm back from my cycling trip, I promise! :)

兴趣

bikes, bikes, and bikes, last minute decisions, chaotic way of living, having no long-term plans about being a proper adult, or having precisely those kind of plans that however never work out (and that's alright...for now :), living in hope that I'll finish my PhD one day, arguing about politics, falling in love, hoping to learn how to walk the damn slackline properly, horses, chickens, humans and rivers.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've seen calf twins being born when I was a kid, and I've seen them stand up right away on their shaky legs and staring at the world with their huge calf eyes, and not being afraid of anything. I don't think I'll ever forget that.

I laugh a lot and can't cook for the life of me. No real idea what I can teach you though. :) Croatian, I guess. Or how to talk to chickens. Or how to survive with having too much energy. :)
