About Me

I haven't been able to host in ages just due to different living arrangements, but I finally have my own place and can't wait to get surfers! I realize I might not get too many being in miami, but it's a really great city that I've come to love. I really want to share it with whomever wants to visit it. I work in a small brewery that is going through an expansion right now. I am a sales rep, plan events, and do some marketing in addition to working in the taproom. I have my degree in forestry and love adventuring in the outdoors. When I'm not working, I'm probably watching Netflix...Frasier is my current kick.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've surfed once and have now hosted several times. I just can't get over how cool the whole concept of couchsurfing is. Already my life has been positively impacted by the people I've encountered while participating in this, and I can't wait to see what's to come.

Music, Movies, and Books

Amelie, Beauty & the Beast, Breakfast Club, Pride & Prejudice, A Clockwork Orange, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers
The Beatles, Bluegrass, any classic rock, folk, reggae. Pretty much I like everything.
The Sun Also Rises, A Sand County Almanac, the Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, Little Women, and many others. Harry Potter of course

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed up all night to enjoy a sunrise. Who knew it would be cloudy that morning. But I bonded so much with the people I was with and that more than anything else, was worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach things. It's how I most efficiently learn something for myself . I used to teach swimming during the summer to some unruly Boy Scouts, but it was always rewarding. Any knowledge I can impart, I always try to do so. Especially when it comes to the two things I love most: riding and kayaking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I feel strongly about stewardship of our natural areas and love going out into the woods for a good saunter. I know a ton of trivial facts and like to share them. I am honest, sometimes to a fault. If you can deal with these or even enjoy them, please let's hang out! If not, sorry.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, France, Greece, Slovenia, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
