My philosophy is that a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet.

When my friend told me about Couchsurfing, I jumped at the idea! It's a great way to meet new people, learn interesting stories, and create memories with each other while traveling. Through my travels, I've learned that staying with locals is one of the best ways to really learn about the place and make a trip enjoyable!

Helped rebuild a primary school that was affected by floods in Mauritius, Africa during my spring break in high-school. I fundraised a lot of money with my friends, played soccer with the children and also personally negotiated with the suppliers in French when complications arose.
