About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33
ABOUT ME
I love being outdoors and being with people. Anything that involves those 2 things definitely interests me. I have a music degree and have played piano for 14 years, so obviously I love that too. Music fascinates me, but I try not to let it define me. Right now I'm just trying to seek Jesus Christ with my whole heart and have faith that His will is best for my life.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm still working on this one. I'm a 'you do you, and I'll do me' kinda person, but I don't believe that tolerance is what this life is all about. Coexisting with different people and cultures is great, but I love talking with people about their lives, who they believe God to be, and comparing that to what the Bible says.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I heard about Couchsurfing from my parents, who host surfers in Little Rock. This past semester, I studied in Salzburg, Austria and was able to do some traveling with them at the end of my program. We surfed multiple times and had great experiences with all of our hosts. I'm not able to host right now, but I'm excited to do some surfing in the states!
Interests
I like to spend my free time hiking, biking, running, camping, hammocking, spending time with my family, and playing piano. I'm definitely outdoorsy, but I'm not super athletic. I just love seeing the beauty of God's creation as much as possible and I don't think you can really appreciate it as much from indoors.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste is always changing, but I basically like any music or movies that have a purpose. Art for the sake of art isn't really my thing. I think artists like Noah James, Andy Mineo, Lecrae, and Kye Kye really get what this life is about. Right now I'm reading Follow Me by David Platt.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Here are 2 moments that stand out to me as truly awesome. In 2009, I traveled to Costa Rica on a mission trip in Las Juntas. It was a beautiful town with some of the kindest people I have ever met. The memory of climbing a mountain on the outskirts of town and looking over miles of Costa Rican countryside is a vivid one.
The second memory I have is of my Aunt Gayle, my sister Karis, and me climbing the staircase to the top of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Italy. Actually, I took the stairs and they took the elevator. But the view of Rome while being with my sister is a great memory for me.
