Overview
About Me
I'm a young psychology student from Croatia. I'd like to work as a therapist someday, and would also like to find a way to bring music into that aspect of my life.
When I sing, I feel my heart is where it belongs.
I love to dance and go to concerts, but I also like a good book or sharing a deep conversation. I'm rather serious, but I like fooling around :D
I'm (mostly) vegetarian and enthusiastic about cooking.
I'm slowly developing an interest in sustainable living and growing one's own food.
Eating Nutella with a spoon, sharing a beer, smoking cigarettes, a cup of sweet coffee in the morning, listening to music and dancing like a dork. Watching the city lights from my window. Smiling to babies. The smell of our street in the evening. Ice skating. Drinking raindrops from olive branches. The smell of freshly cut grass. Random acts of kindness. Learning to love yourself.
IMPORTANT:
If you're planning on contacting me for a stay, I would greatly appreciate if you took the time and effort to read the provided information on this profile and write a proper request. I decided to put this as a requirement due to a number of requests bereft of personal information or any notion that the person read my profile, which implies you're only contacting me for a free sleepover (which I approve of, but I also want to see you're willing to contribute).
Write something about yourself and mention Jordan Peterson. :)
My schedule is a bunch of everything, so it would be really helpful if you could contact me at least a few days before your designated arrival. I would have more time to free my schedule and adapt, as well more time to respond.
I don't borrow my house keys. We can sync on schedules or I can take you with me if there's something interesting and unrelated to college going on :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is an opportunity for people to connect and realize that maybe, altogether, we're not that different from each other. I like travelers because I think they can be more open towards experience and we can share some valuable life lessons and insights about cultural differences. Also, Couchsurfing seems like a great chance for getting a better perspective of foreign streets.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven is probably the most amazing album I've ever heard. Anything from Godspeed You! Black Emperor. A Silver Mt. Zion also caught my attention. Currently going through Fleetwood Mac's discography and exploring bluegrass.
Some other bands that no one's ever heard of, mostly post-rock. I love Balmorhea.
Camel, Simon and Garfunkel, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Fleet Foxes.
A little bit of classical and choir music, especially from Eric Whitacre.
A lot of films.
I watch anime, but anything longer than 30-40 episodes is too much. My favourite is Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Mooji and Sri Ramana Maharshi hit home.
So does Jordan Peterson's knowledge and sterness.
Being a bookworm runs in the female side of my family :Đ
I can't seem to find my favorite book though. I really like Herman Hesse, Fernando Pessoa, Vesna Parun and any other writer that can hurt in that beautiful kind of way. Books can be great teachers.
Forever a fan of LOTR, HP series and Narnia. I found Carlos Castaneda's works really interesting.
Recently read Flowers for Algernon, it broke me in two. Currently trying to keep up with Walden by Thoreau.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drummed along with a group of people on a hill, welcoming the sunrise. Made some people smile while busking.
Teach, Learn, Share
Basic chords, basic singing technique, recipes, love for beer
What I Can Share with Hosts
Songs on the guitar, choir songs, long conversations, hugs. I can cook reasonably well for a university student :Đ so as a thanks from me, you can get a tasty improvised vegetarian meal.
