Nearly all the movies I see are what the airline happens to be showing. ;) Music, I've never figured out even the ipod, so I listen to the radio. And books? Not since the internet, I confess.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

We were on a car trip in India in the mountains and quite often the car had to "rest" when it climbed. One of my compainions had a keen interest in well, looking her best, and she would take these opportunities to freshen up and adjust her makeup. One stop, as she wielded her battery of implements, some curious villagers inched closer. Soon enough, they and us alike were screaming with laughter as they were all making (unorthodox) use of lipstics, mascaras, deodorant sprays, without any regard to age or gender.Actually another amazing experience was when we asked a taxi to take us to "dancing", he predictably deposited us at an Indian version of a strip club. I was with the same glamorous companion describe above, and imagine the melee at her entrance, far sexier in her skirtand makeup the dancers, who wore a sort of costume usually worn in aerobics class--in, say, Kansas. Some decorum prevailed as we were seated, until she lit up a cigarette, confirming for all present that she really was a fallen woman, and men literally fell over her. Once the show was finally able to resume, the nicest thing was the truly wondrous and appreciative looks of the dancers, surely among the less revered of the conservative society, but blessed for the night with sisterhood with what must have seemed a Hollywood starlet.
