ABOUT ME

Hi!, My name is Errik, but everyone calls me Munk... I'm 35, and Ive lived in the San Francisco Bay area, (thats in northern California) for 12 years.

Currently im traveling through europe after living in Thailand for 3.5 years

I lived in Downtown San Francisco, then moved right across the bay to downtown Oakland.

Ive Spent the last 9 years wandering around the planet working as a Dj, Writer, Radio host, Marine park tour guide, Stage hand, Groupie/Roadie, Burner (Burning Man participant), and heaps more

When I'm back in the states I love being surrounded by my fellow travelers...sharing what i can when i can...

here's a lil about me.....

I was born n raised in New York City (NYC), In Hollis Queens to be exact. Went to High School just out side of the city. After that I Spent a year at University and another year drifting around abroad and in my car before moving to San Francisco for a short stints in Graphic Design ,Film, and Audio School. Bla bla bla

I intend to bounce 'round the planet for as long as I can... but when I'm here, I'm loving music, going to see comedy shows, making music, working odd jobs, and ..if lucky... Dj'ing Drum & Bass and Dub-Step at various bars and clubs around town.

.. and every year i can be found at one or more Burning man festivals !!! WOO!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a Marine Park tour guide in North eastern Malaysia. Swimming with sharks and Sea Turtles every day and getting paid for it..

Feb 2008 in New Zealand, -on a trip that so far has been the best of my life-, i was at a weekend festival in Raglan

well....the very nice lady working the ticket booth, was the very same nice lady whom 3 years prior,... on a bus in london,... had a nice conversation from heathrow to downtown with a young man who was very interested in traveling to nz some day. That young man was me,
its a small world after all...
