About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as I can see, pass the travel bug to my beuatiful daughter, and drink a lot of good wine in the process.

ABOUT ME

I am extremely passionate about travelling and I try to get away as often as possible. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to discover new sites, meet fascinating people of different cultures, being introduced to great food and music. After living in Italy for 3 years, I have also become quite passionate of wine, and have a very large collection, mostly of amarones, brunellos and barolos. The most important part of my life is my 7 year old daughter, Sofia, who I have already passed the travel bug to. She is a great traveller and has already been to 5 continents and 51 countries/territories. Seeing her interact with all the different stimuli of travelling, the people, sites, smells and sounds has brought my enjoyment of travelling to a new dimension. Her travel blog is at mytb.org/throughmyeyes It is important that you mention her name in your couchsurfing request for me to know that you have read my profile (thanks)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My daughter and I have hosted 4 couples and the experiences thus far have been positive. We also travelled in northern Europe in 2009 and surfed 5 times for total of 11 nights and they were all wonderful experiences. Our last couchsurfing was in South Africa during the world Cup in Durban. It was an awesome experience
