About Me

Hmm... Well, I'm having another birthday few days and am wondering if it's possible Saturn Returns ever come early. :P
I have a few creative endeavors that never got me paid, so they are instead just my beloved hobbies I enjoy doing (tastefully & considerately) while working any paid job that will hire me, as I aspire to repay my student loans so I can try again at getting an education someday. Not really much to report! I draw things, I write things, and I am currently seeking a musical education online (sound design & audio engineering).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just presently left a sublet situation where I learned my & others' rent money was instead being used by the lease holder for hard drugs & lavish recreation. Although I will be moving to Amador County on my birthday weekend (after Christmas), I still have a job I have promised to finish up work at here in Arcata (at Humboldt Juice Works) and am looking for a safe, clean, theft-and-drama-free little nook under a roof to stay warm in for the holidays while I work and wait for my housing option to become available to me.
I realize this is not only short-notice, but also not very likely due to it being Christmas... I suppose I am simply just wishing not to spend Christmas or birthday in the streets :) Cheers regardless, and I hope you have a wonderful and warm vacation spending time with your families <3

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I don't allocate my time towards TV or movies much these days, but I really like Hayao Miyazaki & studio Ghibli films, City of God, Tsotsi, Cloud Atlas, The Gods Must Be Crazy, The Emerald Forest, Amelie and all other Jeunet films, Angel-A and The Fifth Element, The Fall, Aimee & Jaguar, most Guy Ritchie films, Fight Club, and most things in the vein of sci-fi, thriller, crime drama, crime comedy, social commentary, satire and etc.

Music: There is far too much to mention! I'll keep it short. Some artists I love who are small names & working towards their big breaks: A Hundred Drums, Whispa, R.O.M., Dubvirus, Lux Moderna, Oneiro, Soulular, DJEDI and Mr. Jennings. Eight artists I love who most people have heard/heard of: Son Lux, Amon Tobin, Haywyre, Bonobo, Minus The Bear, Bassnectar, ill-esha, IAMX, Minnesota, Juno Reactor, Massive Attack, Blackmill, Medasin, The Weeknd, and of course the amazingly talented CloZee.
I daydream about joining a record label such as Soulection, Hebinomichi, Film Noir Sound (and too many more!) after I am able to find a living situation where I am welcome to continue my education in sound design.

Books: Too many to mention: Reloaded. Some that I like are Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?, The Alchemist, The Book Of Flying, A History Of Love, Monstrous Regiment, anything by Heinlein, The Botany of Desire, Part Wild, and lots of sci-fi I'm sure I'm forgetting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living is the most amazing thing ever!
Haha I don't know how to answer this. My life has been constant challenges and the more of these challenges I emerge alive from, the more I feel like a comic-book superhero, and the more I feel proud to be alive. I don't know if anyone else would feel I've done anything amazing yet though, haha! But that is okay. :)
I think the most amazing experience of my life was a movement I participated in while living in Oakland. I got to hear a lot of amazing and strong-beyond-belief people share their experiences of being alive, and I learned a lot from them about how I can best help heal the ills of society.

Teach, Learn, Share

I agree with this statement!
I'm very excited to continue my education and hopefully discover what special skills I may be qualified to teach someday! As always, gotta love the process.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to offer housework, the care of animals, and gardening work. Really any kind of housework is cool by me.

This part is important: I have received many messages of a "Gas, Grass or Ass" persuasion in the past, so I do feel it necessary to state that I am not seeking or offering any romantic or sexual encounters, just new friends and kind company while I continue to work my job with gratitude!
