ABOUT ME
I'm pretty easy going, like to go out with friends, but sometimes I work too much.
Before my current job in marketing, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English in Ukraine. Always looking forward to the next adventure, whether that be a day trip close by or an international adventure!
日本語も分かります!小学校・中学校の夏休みは毎年沖縄、大学は横浜で1年間留学しました。
Я жила в Украине, Харьковская область, 3 года. Я хочу практиковать русский с вами! ))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started by hosting people with my roommate in college, and now I often host in my apartment in Oakland, California. I've also hosted in Ukraine. My first experience surfing was in August 2011. I traveled around Europe (Germany, Netherlands, and Czech Republic) in with my friend, and my hosts were AMAZING!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm more interested in TV shows than movies. My favorite TV shows include: Breaking Bad, Dexter, Futurama, The Office, Orange is the New Black
Usually, I read the books before watching the TV show or movie.
I also listen to podcasts, like This American Life, The Moth, and Stuff You Should Know
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen that I, as one person, can make a difference. I hope I'll be able to continue making my mark on the world and vice versa.
My best experience was when I directed a summer camp in northern Ukraine called Camp Unity. We taught about tolerance, diversity, human rights, and different cultures. I also completed the World Map project, so my school has a mural of the world that 6th and 7th grade students painted. I also got a grant to build an asphalt schoolyard for students to play on during recess.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to hear the things that people notice when they come to wherever I'm living. It's so interesting, because you often become blind to what's around you.
I also want to learn more languages!
What I Can Share with Hosts
It's always nice to meet somebody in the country to see what's not on the guidebooks! It would be great to meet up, grab a drink and/or meal, and see the area with someone that lives there!
