About Me

Hi! I am Ana Isaura, and I am living in Zagreb. I have always loved travelling, but after my Erasmus in Prague, and Internship in Bulgaria, I traveled a lot in a short period, met a lot of new people and a lot new places, and for a while, I felt like its enough. But as it usually is, the moving feeling came back, just in different form. I realized how many different ways there is to travel, and I figured I should really listen to myself, and do it in a way I feel. Its amazing how in some countries you wanna live, in some others you just wanna be a tourist, and in some third ones, you just wanna come and pretend its your home for a week and do nothing special at all. I don't know what should I tell you about me, it always feels a bit weird to emphasis only great staff :) I am happy about little things (like sunsets, sunrises, birds singing, forests, cookies, food), I have strong feeling of what I do not want, but not what I do want, I love kind people and honest ones, I praise awareness above all, because I believe deep understanding is key to all problems. I love stupid jokes and deep discussions about mankind, psychology, sociology, ideas. I love funny embarrassing stories, and people who react kindly. I am sometimes very serious, and sometimes very childish. Although my life goal is to achieve some kind of mental and emotional stability , I am not so sure I am there yet. Actually I am sure I am not there yet :). But, there is many things I like about myself, and I believe people who meet me do too. Some of these is that I have strong feeling of justice, that I really like to make people feel comfortable, I really try to understand everybody, and I like to share nice things. Considering life habits, I really appreciate my mornings with COFFEE, but I also like long long nights sometimes, and they are never in fancy bars :) I love love cooking, I love trying new food, I adore nature, I love board games, my friends, beer and spring in Zagreb . So..... really don't know what more to say. Hope you got some general idea about me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard a lot about it, and I visited some meetings in Zagreb. Then I lived my parents so I did not have couch free, so I figured it is stupid to ask for accommodation if I can't offer one. Now I have just started working in job position I was studying for years so I am really so occupied, and also I have moved from my parents house in a really tiny studio apartment, so if you re staying at me, be aware I can only offer you a mattress on floor and not really any privacy, but I am usually all day out of apartment so you ll have some time for yourself alone.

Interests

I really love literature, movies, especially Scandinavian and French cinematography, I love to dance. I like beer and good food, coffee. When I am in new place, I can walk around forever, and I love to use public transport so I can meet the city better. I like music, all kinds of it, but not techno (Sorryyy :)). I love to laugh and joke around, but also I like to have time to be with myself . I love relaxed people who I can have good conversationn with or just joke. I am true Balkan character, just not so loud as our representatives :).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- really everything, clasic music (I play piano and guitar a bit), pop music, electronic, blues, 80s... depends on my mood
Movies- ah... so many....
Books- Silmarillion, everything from Franzen, Kafka, Vargas Llosa

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do not have some really special things, but I like about myself that while in new cities everybody is afraid of getting lost, I am just waiting for it. Some of the best things I've discovered happened like that. I am also pretty proud of my courage to go to Bulgaria, working there in the refugee camp, it wasn't really easy. And also, I like that i had some very very spontaneous trips, literary planned in one afternoons.
My big amazing will be something I ll do that I am scared of.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't wait for anybody.
Don't judge by first impresion.
Don't be afraid but be smart.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a mattress and bathroom they can use. They are welcome to use the kitchen if they want. If I will not be able to show them the city, I will give them advice where to go what to see and so on. I will make them coffee :). If I ll have time, I will join them as much I can and as much they want me to .
