Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Building a trust to new people and accommodation should not be a problem. I tend to experience new things in a positive light. Always looking forward to meet other people and cultures.

Speaking of which, my job occupation is not restricted to borrowing books only, yet I often provide info to tourists regarding our city landmarks and guide them to their destinations. One of main interests are cultural differences, with ever lasting fascination with body and sign languages among nations.

Interests

Traveling, obviously. Discovering new places, people and their culture is one of the most delightful things. Besides that, I enjoy learning about science and observe its impact. Stargazing with an aid of a telescope, acting and cooking are my favorite ones.

Music, Movies, and Books

Good and catchy melodies, regardless of music genre. If it sounds great- doesn't matter if it's pop, jazz or death metal, I'll listen to it. Except balkan trapfolk... that definitely isn't my cup of tea. I can recall of Before Sunset, Minority Report, Sunshine, The Fifth Element and Aliens as influental movies. As for the TV shows- Band of Brothers, Breaking Bad, Chernobyl and Black Mirror are personally one of my greatest series to this date, with Entourage one of the most funniest. Speaking of books, I've recently read Homo Sapiens and Homo Deus and I'd like to recommend it to just everyone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure what is worth mentioning. Perhaps me standing and performing in front of the audience in a full theater would count as highly remarkable achievement. On the other hand, spotting space objects through the telescope with emphasis on tracking space stations like ISS and discerning its segments has always been jaw-dropping experience to me. I could list going down the mountain with my bike as same thrilling experience as going on a cross country ride. Trying new cooking recipies from different cuisines not only has brought me joy but also helped me broaden horizons by getting to know many cultural and historical facts behind those dishes.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best way to learn about new cultures is through meeting people who represent it. I've had hangouts ranging from unforgettable, fun, interesting, pleasant to misunderstandings, and I am glad to experience everything since everyone is different. That's all part of our lives. It's also worth mentioning that people I've met always showed respect and openness, and thus I hope that couchsurfers who visit my city also feel comfortable as well. It is safe to say that socializing definitely enriches our lives and what also makes it even better is reciprocity of the support.
