About Me

Hey! I am Rafael. I am a professional basketball player playing for a team in Oviedo. I was born in Sevilla but I have lived in many different cities over the last decade. I went to school in the States (California & Florida) and after I graduated with a major in Business I came back to Spain. I have had the opportunity to discover and live in other parts of Spain through basketball, places like Bilbao, Plasencia, Salamanca, Ponferrada,Huesca…

Having said that, life is more than just basketball and I always try to get involved in other stuff that are not related to basketball or sports. I like to read both fiction and nonfiction books. Lately, I have been reading a lot about personal finance and investment. I am always ready to play some chess. I lost count of how many movies I have watched over the last years, and I am learning how to play the ukulele, but it’s gonna take a while until I can play something decent!

UPDATE:
I have a break from the 11th to the 13th, and I would like to go exploring 🙂

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much listen to everything but country and heavy metal.

Favorite movie: La Vida Es Bella.
Special mention to The Lobster and Before Sunrise.

Currently reading “A little life” by Hanya Yanagihara. This one got some heavy stuff.

“Man’s searching for meaning” really gave me a whole different perspective of how to approach certain events in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling solo around Italy for a week. I was so freaking anxious before I took my flight that I almost didn’t get on it haha it ended up being some of my most enjoyable days of my life :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I can teach you how to play basketball 🤷🏻‍♂️
I may even help you with your English/Spanish skills. Also working in my cooking skills.
