About Me
Hello!
I’m Adam, originally from the countryside (UK) but right now I live in East London.
Here are five of my favourite destinations so you can discover a bit about me
1. Istanbul - Incredible food, the breathtaking view of the Bosphorus and the beautiful Mosques. Huge Baklava fan.
2. Florence - Boboli Gardens, Uffizi collection, Birthplace of the renaissance… I was a fan of art & wine.
3. Melbourne - Fun, easy and a strong modern culture. The markets here are easily some of my favourite.
4. Paris - Timeless, The Pastries, perfect place to read a book in a park or stroll by the Seine.
5. Manila - Crazy, chaotic and overwhelming. Just what I love, friendliest people & the most fun public transport.
I study, work in a backpackers hostel, travel a lot and host a lot (although not on the app), people I meet in hostels around the world when they come to London. Having lived in both Milan and Sicily I can speak Italian & it gives me pleasure to have conversations in it. I’m planning some big trips in 2024 so I want to return to Couchsurfing to create even more authentic memorable and LOCAL experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To share deeper connections with people, to experience a place more authentically and to open my mind even further! I plan on embarking on a huge trip in late 2024 so I’m here hoping to meet locals and have a unique experience. Meet-ups in cities have introduced me to some really cool people.
For now I’m in London - not far from Brick Lane ( an important spot to see when visiting the city if you’re into thrifting, street art and a certain level of grunge ). Depending on my schedule and my flatmates, I should be able to host on either an air mattress or sofa beds.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Something feel good, something that allows me to reflect or something that helps me define a particular moment in time.
Movies - I rarely watch them but my favourites would be Slumdog Millionaire, Eurovision ; Fire Saga, The Notebook, Spirited Away, Parasite
Books - Prisoners of Geography - Tim Marshall, One Day - David Nicholls, Around the World in 80 Trains - Monisha Rajesh, Step by Step - Simon Reeve, Animal Farm - George Orwell
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked from Bologna to Florence over 5 days with a tent in Spring 2022
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a fun card game, I should always have a pack on me. Also language skills & cultural information on my experiences living in different countries. I’d love to learn more about cultures that are seemingly very different from those in the West. As for sharing, I’m always happy to cook a dinner or share a breakfast and if I can host you can treat the place as if it were your own home too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share interesting conversations on the shape of the world, recommendations based on places I have been so lucky to have experienced so far. Although I can make a bit of a mess when I cook, I can cook well so that’s certainly an option! And above all, a chill, caring personality with a British sense of humour :)
