About Me
Hi, I’m Reshma from India. I love traveling, especially exploring mountains and going on treks — being close to nature gives me peace and clarity. I enjoy meaningful conversations, learning from different cultures, and simple experiences that stay in the heart.
I’m on a journey of self-growth and independence, and travel plays a big role in helping me understand myself and the world better. I’m respectful, clean, and grateful for the kindness of hosts. Happy to share stories, help around, or just enjoy a good conversation over chai.
I believe travel is about connection, learning, and personal growth. Respectful, easygoing, and always grateful for new experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is more meaningful when it’s about people, not just places. I enjoy connecting with locals, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures through real conversations. For me, Couchsurfing is about kindness, mutual respect, and cultural exchange rather than just accommodation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is something I connect with deeply. I love the melodies of Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman — their songs always feel emotional, peaceful, and timeless to me. I also enjoy travel and road-trip songs that go perfectly with journeys, nature, and long conversations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I’ve done is trekking. It has been a deeply meaningful part of my journey — not just about reaching peaks, but about patience, strength, and self-discovery. Each trek has taught me resilience, humility, and how powerful silence and nature can be.
I’ve been fortunate to complete several treks across different terrains in India, each with its own story and challenge:
• Parvathamalai – a spiritually intense and physically demanding climb
• Sadhuragiri – a peaceful trek that strengthened my connection with nature
• Agasthiyar Malai – a challenging and soulful experience deep in the Western Ghats
• Kudremukh – lush green trails and one of the most refreshing treks I’ve done
• Kedarnath – a powerful journey of faith, endurance, and inner calm
• Kuari Pass – breathtaking Himalayan views that made every step worth it
Trekking helps me reset, heal, and grow. It reminds me how strong and capable I am, and why I love exploring the world step by step.
Travel for me is not about ticking places off a list — it’s about understanding myself better, connecting with people, and appreciating different ways of life.
Each place I’ve visited has given me a different kind of experience and memory.
• Goa – a mix of freedom, beaches, sunsets, and relaxed vibes. I loved the balance between calm moments and lively energy.
• Agra – a place full of history and emotion; seeing the Taj Mahal felt timeless and deeply moving.
• Kodaikanal – peaceful weather, misty hills, quiet walks, and a perfect place to pause and breathe.
• Ooty – charming and refreshing, with greenery, cool air, and scenic views that instantly calm the mind.
• Yercaud – less crowded and simple, a place where nature feels raw and comforting.
• Pondicherry – beautiful blend of calm beaches, slow life, and a touch of culture that encourages reflection.
• Kolli Hills – adventurous roads, greenery, and a sense of escape; a place that feels close to nature and silence.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in learning from each other, sharing experiences, and teaching whatever little I know. For me, travel is about exchange — ideas, cultures, stories, and perspectives. I believe everyone has something to teach and something to learn. I enjoy sharing my experiences and learning from others through open and meaningful conversations.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good conversations, travel stories, and a respectful, positive presence. I’m happy to help with small things at home, keep the space clean, and respect house rules. I enjoy listening, learning from different perspectives, and exchanging experiences over tea or a simple meal.
