Chicago is the crown jewel of the American Midwest. It has great food, museums, shopping, and nightlife, all on top of a picturesque location on the shores of Lake Michigan. Some of the most popular sights are down by the shore, where you’ll find Navy Pier, packed with shops, a theater, beer garden, mini golf, and a 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel. Not far from the Pier is Millennium Park, home to the Crown Fountain and the Cloud Gate (better known as The Bean), one of the most photographed structures in the whole city.

There are so many things that you can only do in Chicago, so get a real feel for this city by riding the L train, Chicago’s above-ground public train system that circles the city’s highrises. Dive into some Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, with layers of traditional toppings all smothered in chunky tomato sauce. Visit the sacred ground of Wrigley Field, home of the beloved Chicago Cubs and one of the most historic baseball stadiums in the world, with its iconic outfield wall covered in ivy.
