Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world, situated on a plateau in the Judean Mountains of Israel. The historical and religious importance of this city is unmatched, and there are reminders of that significance around every corner. See the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, or visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the most sacred place of worship in Sunni Islam.

Wander the streets of the city for a trip back to ancient times, surrounded by stone arches, shaded tunnels, and colorful souqs (open-air markets). To get a great view of the city and breathe some fresh air, visit the Mount of Olives just outside of the Old City, home to even more ancient relics and the famous Garden of Gethsemane.
