Prague, known as the “City of a Thousand Spires,” is a magical city right at the heart of Europe. Czech Republic’s sprawling capital is by far the largest city and economic center of the country, but it has held on tight to its signature architecture and way of life. Visitors may begin a trip to Prague by visiting Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, perched on a high hill overlooking the city. Then head through Malostranska to the world-famous Charles Bridge, a 14th-century pedestrian bridge lined with 30 baroque statues and bustling with tourists and locals.

Next, it’s on to Old Town Square, where you’ll find a monument to Jan Huus and the Astronomical Clock, to mix with the locals and enjoy a pint of renowned Czech beer in one of the countless pubs in this historical center. Also be sure to make your way to Vysehrad, another incredible walled castle complex perched high on the eastern bank of the Vltava. It may sound like a packed schedule, but Prague’s cheap and reliable transit system makes it so easy to travel all over the city.
